Voodoo Swing was The Stimulators` debut album. It contains two parts. An accidently recorded concert of their first gig and the other part is their first time in the studio together. This CD was the birth of a new band. The press loved it and wrote: “The Stimulators, the name fits perfectly, this CD really stimulates you and sets a good mood.” (Logo Magazine Regensburg) or: “Do we really need another version of Guantanamera? Yes, if the musicians pass the ball around like Peter Schneider and his new band The Stimulators do.” (Sueddeutsche Zeitung) But the really interesting new sound of the Stimulators happens because their horn section consists of trumpet and guitar. Together with congas, drums and bass and very bluesy vocals they brew, Blues, Swing, Ska, Reggae, Jazz and Soul together into the typical Stimulators sound. Two tracks from this album have been released on Compilations in, the Netherlands, Israel, and the USA and Voodoo Swing is a hit with the Hi-Fi-High-End scene worldwide.

Voodoo Swing war das Debüt Album der Stimulators. Es besteht aus zwei Teilen: Ein zufällig aufgenommenes Konzert ihres 1.offiziellen Auftritts und im anderen Teil mit ihren 1. Studioaufnahmen. Diese CD war die Geburt einer neuen Band.
The Stimulators. Ein Name der Programm ist, da die Scheibe wirklich sehr positiv stimuliert. (schreibt das Regensburger Magazin LOGO) Im SZ Platten-Tip der Woche steht: "Brauchen wir noch eine Version von Guantanamera? Ja, wenn sich die Interpreten so versiert die Bälle zuspielen, wie es dem Münchner Gitarristen Peter Schneider und seinem neuen Sextett The Stimulators gelingt.“ Aber das eigentlich interessante an Voodoo Swing ist der Bläsersatz der nicht aus Hörnern sondern aus Gitarre und Trompete besteht. Ein außergewöhnlicher Sound, der sich hervorragend mit der tollen Stimme von Sänger Oliver Stephan und dem sehr tanzbaren Gebräu aus Blues, Swing , Soul, Jazz, Rock und Ska verbindet. Einzelne Tracks aus diesem Album wurden inzwischen in USA, Holland und Israel auf Compilations verwendet und Voodoo Swing erfreut sich in der High End/ HiFi Szene weltweit größter Beliebtheit.
