This CD was Alexa Rodrians debut. Shortly after the Munich born singer moved to New York City to study Jazz in Manhattan and stayed there for 5 years. On these recordings she does standards by some of her favourite singers like Nina Simone, Sarah Vaughan and others. Most of the tracks are pure duo. Just voice and piano and on a couple of tracks the two get joined by Hungarian Tenor Saxophone Maestro Toni Lakatos` and Brazilian upright bass player Paolo Cardoso.

Das Duo Alexa Rodrian und Michael Alf interpretiert Jazz-Standards. Die schwarze Stimme Rodrians und das Blues gefärbte Pianospiel von Michael Alf ergänzen sich perfekt. Verstärkt werden die Beiden bei einigen Titeln vom Ungarn Toni Lakatos am Tenor-Sax und dem Brasilianer Paolo Cardoso am Kontrabass.
